Your chance to be part of this exciting work with Re-Dock on a programme with National profile as part of Heritage Open Days Unsung Stories commissions! Re-Dock are seeking amateur theatre performers of all genders to portray principal and ensemble roles for Regina v Turing and Murray – an immersive, participatory play utilising Virtual Reality (VR) to extend the experience for audiences. Open Auditions at Jubilee Hall, Appt 24, Libris, Stanley Road, Knutsford, WA16 0GP 22 July – select a time 10am / 11am / 12.30pm / 2.30pm We’re looking for the best talent in Knutsford and beyond! An immersive, participatory play, set in the actual courtroom in Knutsford where Turing was sentenced, the play explores the external pressures and the internal thoughts of the people in the courtroom, creating parallels with contemporary experiences of discrimination and law-making. The work draw parallels with historic and contemporary LGBTQ audiences, linking discussions around notions of the civic, law and discrimination. Main roles to be cast are:

• Alan Turing, aged 39
• Arnold Murray, aged 19
• Lind-Smith (barrister for Turing) 40’s
• Hooson (barrister for Murray) early 30’s
• David (Prosecutor) 40’s
• Max Newman (witness for Turing) 50’s
• Hugh Alexander(witness for Turing) 50’s

Please note, the work will be filmed to enable the VR experience. Must be avalible for rehearsal and performance dates.
